akhir maret 2011, tiba-tiba saja saya sudah berada di bali. atas inisiasi ibu susi johnston, saya mendapatkan kesempatan luar biasa untuk memamerkan karya rupa terbaru saya di deus ex machina - bali. ya, karya terbaru, karena saya menyiapkan sekitar 15 karya (acrylic and collage canvas on canvas, acrylic and colage canvas on skate boad deck, screen print on canvas and paper, wall painting) dalam waktu 10 hari yang saya kerjakan di liberated studio di Yogyakarta. beberapa karya saya kirim ke bali dalam kondisi belum selesai. saya sampai di bali sehari sebelum pembukaan pameran (24 maret). sesampai di bandara ngurah rai, saya di jemput oleh mas yanto (staf deus) dan langsung di bawa ke deus.mampir sebentar di terminal ubung untuk jemput dieto (assisten saya) yang berangkat membawa cat dan peralatan ke bali dengan bus. setelah sampai deus, saya di perkenalkan dengan pak dustin humphrey, pemilik deus, yang kemudian mengajak saya berkeliling deus. kemudian lanjut makan siang sebentar, dan langsung memulai menyelesaikan karya, mendisplay dan membuat mural, yang saya kerjakan dari sekitar jam 2 siang sampai pagi jam 7 tanpa berhenti. ini yang terjadi di ruang gallery malam itu. persiapan pameran saya tunggal saya URGNT SLNC - URGNT SNDS (urgent silence - urgent sounds). semalaman penuh, Nikko Karki (staff deus - video maker) menemani saya, dan membuat video ini. silahkan di nikmati. terimakasih banyak Nikko, terimakasih.

End of March 2011, suddenly I was in Bali already. with the initiation from Ms. Susi Johnston, I got this incredible opportunity exhibited my latest art work in deus ex machina - bali. yes, really recent work, because i prepared about 15 works (acrylic and canvas collage on canvas, acrylic on canvas and collage boad skate decks, screen print on canvas and paper, wall painting) all of it within 10 days. i worked most of it at liberated studio in Yogyakarta. some of my work send to bali unfinished. I arrived at Bali a day before the opening of the exhibition (24 March). Arriving at Ngurah Rai Airport, I was picked up Mr. Yanto (deus staff), he take me to deus. stop by at ubung bus station to pick dieto (my assistant) that went to bali, along with the paint and equipment by bus. arrivig at deus, I was introduced to Mr. Dustin Humphrey, deus owner, who then took me around deus. after have a lunch, im starting finish the unfinished work, displaying and making murals (wall painting), which I did from about 2 pm until the 7 am nonstop. This video shows what happened in the gallery that night. the preparation for my solo exhibition 'URGNT SLNC - URGNT SNDS' (urgent silence - urgent sounds). all night long, Nikko Karki (staff deus - the video maker) accompanied me, and made this video. please enjoy. thanks alot Nikko, thank you very much.
